Meet Our Associates

Marsh & Company, P.A. is a full service Certified Public Accounting firm organized as a professional association in the state of Kansas.  There are two partners; both licensed in Kansas and Missouri.  The firm has a total of 15 employees with eight certified public accountants and five CPA candidates.

Michael Marsh, CPA
Michael Marsh, CPA, has a real estate and accounting degree from the University of Hawaii and principally serves clients in the real estate industry.  He is the managing partner and has over 25 years of experience in servicing the needs of real estate companies. He also has extensive experience in working with developers and owners of historical and low-income housing tax credit properties. Mike worked for Grant Thornton and Arthur Andersen for over 14 years and was the national tax credit coordinator for both Grant Thornton and Arthur Andersen.  He is on the Board of Directors and serves on the Leadership and Taxation Cabinet of the Kansas Society of CPAs.

Christine Johnston, CPA
Christine (Chris) Johnston, CPA, is in charge of our audit practice and has both a Bachelor and Master’s degree in accounting from Kansas State University.  She has over 25 years of experience in public accounting and industry, formerly with McGladrey & Pullen.  Chris has extensive experience working with service and tax-exempt organizations.  As a Certified Management Accountant, she is active on the Board of Directors for the Institute of Management Accountants, Kansas City Chapter.  She has served on a number of committees for the Kansas and Missouri Society of CPAs.

Richard Mott, CPA
Richard Mott, CPA, is in charge of our tax practice. He has a degree in accounting and over 30 years of experience in public accounting. Richard has extensive experience in the federal income taxation of real estate.
